INDEPENDENT CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY STUDIO
nDesigner’s eye. Developer’s brain. Problem solver’s mindset.
nJuicy Digital is an independent creative technology studio built by Brian Turner — combining development, design, digital strategy and emerging technology to solve real business problems.
nThe work is development-led today, but it started with design. Years of branding, graphic design, campaign work and digital creative still shape how every interface, platform and customer journey is approached.
nA lot has gone into the mix.
nJuicy Digital has been running since 2010. Across that time Brian has managed more than 150 clients, designed and developed more than 150 websites, and delivered more than 30 eCommerce builds across businesses, agencies and organisations of very different sizes.
n150+ clients
nFrom start-ups and local businesses through to national brands, government, healthcare, sport, education and international organisations.
n150+ websites
nCustom WordPress, Gutenberg, eCommerce, portals, integrations, campaigns, interactive experiences and digital products.
n30+ eCommerce builds
nIncluding WooCommerce and Shopify stores, product migrations, large catalogues, B2B/B2C requirements and custom product experiences.
nAlmost a decade with Full House Group.
nFor around 9.5 years Brian contracted to Full House Group, producing the artwork and creative across APL Poker, QuizzaMe, Sportspick, CoachKings, Darts, DJ Bingo and GameOn Sports Scheduling. Brian retains the IP in the work he created during that contract, so selected work from this period is included in the portfolio with the Full House Group contract context clearly identified.
nThe work ranged from everyday campaign and venue artwork through to complete brand systems, digital products, animated signage and automation. For APL, Brian led the visual rebrand, supporting league identities, APL Million branding and event artwork through to 2023.
nFor Sportspick and GameOn, the work extended into product and UI/UX design — including tipping terminals, animated venue TV screens, digital signage and sports-TV scheduling interfaces.
nnDesign was never just decoration. It was part of the product.
Designing inside other teams.
nJuicy also reflects years of contract work inside agencies and creative teams. Recent design work completed while contracting with Creativa includes the Creativa website redesign and design work for GetEarly and Benvoo. These projects are included in the portfolio as Brian’s own design work, with the Creativa contract context clearly identified.
nThat experience reinforces one of the main strengths of Juicy today: the ability to move comfortably between brand, UI/UX, web design and the development work needed to turn those ideas into functioning digital products.
nThen the code got deeper.
nOver the last several years the centre of gravity shifted heavily toward development: custom WordPress themes and plugins, Gutenberg, ACF, Gravity Forms, WooCommerce, Shopify, APIs, JSON feeds, React, PHP, custom workflows, LMS platforms and automation.
nThat mix means a project can start with a business problem rather than a predetermined deliverable. Sometimes the answer is a website. Sometimes it is an integration, an internal system, an interactive experience, an automation or a better way to structure the data behind it.
nDirect work. Contract work. Proper credit.
nThe portfolio includes direct Juicy client work as well as selected work Brian personally created during long-term contract engagements. Contract work is identified with its delivery context so the creative contribution is clear without presenting the contracting organisation’s clients as direct Juicy clients. Studio-delivered development work where Juicy does not hold the project IP remains in Behind the Build.
nWe can be normal too.
nJuicy’s own brand is deliberately loud. Client work is designed for the client’s audience. Corporate, government, healthcare, education and enterprise projects can be restrained, accessible and structured while using the same technical thinking underneath.
nnSame tech. Less fruit.
Fresh ideas. Squeezed daily.
nOne independent studio, a broad technical and creative toolkit, and direct access to the person doing the work.
