IN THE MIX

TECH TONIC™

Portals, dashboards, APIs, CRM and integrations for the awkward middle where good systems almost work together — but not quite.

TECH TONIC™

When the systems almost fit,
we work out the missing piece.

A portal needs data from an API. A CRM needs leads from the website. A third-party product does 80% of what the business needs. An internal process has three systems and two spreadsheets doing a job that should feel simple.

This is the work where the technology is rarely the whole problem. We map the users, systems, data and constraints first, then decide what should be connected, extended, replaced or left alone.

PORTALS & DASHBOARDS

Make the complex thing feel obvious.

The best portal is not the one with the most features. It is the one that lets the right person do the right thing without needing to understand the machinery underneath.

We can build authenticated experiences, resource hubs, registration systems, operational dashboards and custom interfaces around WordPress, React or existing business systems — choosing the architecture around the workflow rather than around a favourite stack.

  • Customer, member and staff portals
  • Dashboards and operational interfaces
  • Custom WordPress / React applications
  • Authentication and role-based access
  • Data capture and validation workflows
  • CRM setup and workflow automation
  • API and webhook integrations
  • Third-party platform customisation

THE PLUGIN DOES 80%.

Perfect. We only need to solve the other 20%.

Off-the-shelf software is valuable because somebody else has already solved a large part of the problem. The mistake is either forcing the business to live with the remaining limitation forever, or rebuilding the whole thing simply because it is not perfect.

We look for the sensible extension point: configuration, custom code, an API, a middleware layer, a different front end or a change in workflow. Sometimes the limitation is real and we need another route. Sometimes the “impossible” request just needs the problem reframed.

REAL-WORLD PROBLEM SOLVING

The API says no.
The project still needs an answer.

Projects like visitor registration systems, sports platforms and third-party product customisations are rarely clean-room builds. There are existing vendors, browser rules, data models, contracts and operational constraints that cannot simply be wished away.

That is where experience becomes useful: understand the constraint, identify what can move, and design around what cannot.

ASK THE JUICER

Bring the awkward questions.

We have been told the API cannot do what we need. Is that the end of it?

Not necessarily. First we confirm what the API actually exposes, what is restricted and what outcome the user needs. Sometimes there is another endpoint, webhook or data source. Sometimes a different part of the workflow can move. And sometimes the limitation is genuinely hard. The useful part is knowing the difference before committing to a workaround.

Can you connect systems even if there is no WordPress or Shopify plugin?

Often, yes. A plugin is only one integration route. If a system exposes a suitable API, webhook, feed or other interface, we can assess whether a direct integration or lightweight middleware approach makes more sense.

Do we need a custom portal from scratch?

Maybe, but not automatically. We first identify which requirements are truly unique. If an established platform already provides authentication, content management or workflow features, reusing that foundation can save time and future maintenance. Custom development should earn its place.

Can you help set up the CRM as well as connect it?

Yes. CRM work often starts with structure rather than code: pipelines, fields, lead sources, forms, ownership and follow-up logic. Once that makes sense, integrations and automation become much easier to implement cleanly.

We do not know what the technical architecture should be. Is that a problem?

No. You should be able to describe the business problem in plain English. Mapping that requirement into systems, data flows and implementation options is part of the service.

GET JUICED UP.

Got one of those “it’s a bit complicated” problems?

Good. Tell us what should happen, what happens now and which systems are involved. We’ll help untangle the middle.
